John Green is an American author and YouTuber known for writing realistic fiction for young adults. He is the bestselling author of Looking for Alaska, winner of the 2006 Michael L. Printz Award, Paper Towns, winner of a 2009 Edgar Award, and The Fault in Our Stars. With his brother Hank Green, he co-created the YouTube channel VlogBrothers and the educational channel Crash Course. In March 2025 he published Everything Is Tuberculosis, a nonfiction book on the scientific and social history of the disease.
