The magic formula

Essentially, the Magic Formula is:

Basically, it’s a recipe for guaranteed success so long as you put in the effort required to actually feel gratitude. The book breaks this down into a simple formula to convince you of its efficacy, as it can be difficult to understand how some simple words can have wide-reaching ramifications.

But the Formula makes it clear that saying the words is really just spreading the magic through your own soul. Being grateful makes you grateful, which makes you experience gratitude, and on and on it goes. It’s a little circular, but many classic pieces of wisdom feel similar in this sense.

One other advantage of the Formula is that it’s incredibly easy to practice. All you have to do is make a conscious effort to say thank you and pay attention to the effects.
