John Bagnell Bury

John Bagnell Bury was an Anglo-Irish historian and philologist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He taught both at Trinity College Dublin and at the University of Cambridge, where he was Regius Professor of Modern History. He considered the disciple of history as science and wrote several books, including “St Patrick: The Life and World of Ireland’s Saint.”
