Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela is one of the most iconic figures of the 20th century. He was a South African political activist who spent 27 years in prison fighting against the apartheid regime. Mandela deservedly became South Africa’s first black president from 1994 to 1999. Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993, Mandela died two decades later at the age of 95. He authored the international bestsellers “Long Walk to Freedom” and “Conversations with Myself.”
