Annie Jacobsen is an American investigative journalist and author who writes about war, weapons, national security, and government secrets. She is the author of several non-fiction books, including Area 51, Operation Paperclip, The Pentagon's Brain, and Nuclear War: A Scenario, and was a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for History for The Pentagon's Brain. An alumna of St. Paul's School and Princeton University, she also writes for and produces television programs, including Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan for Amazon Studios and Clarice for CBS.
