Lionel Froissart is a French sports journalist specializing in motorsports, particularly Formula 1, as well as tennis, skiing, and boxing. He spent nearly thirty years at the newspaper Libération before becoming a freelance journalist in 2015. He has authored numerous books on Formula 1, including biographies of Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, and Lewis Hamilton, and won the 2008 Prix Sport Scriptum for his boxing novel Les boxeurs finissent mal... en général. He also worked as a Formula 1 commentator and consultant for Eurosport, Canal+, TMC, and RTBF.
